- A long-stay student visa must be applied by the students from non-European countries who want to start full-time studies in the 2020/21 academic year if the course duration is three months or more; if it the duration is less than 3 months then the Schengen study visa will suffice.
- International students will be allowed to come to France in view of the stakes involved in making universities attractive, regardless of their country of origin. However utmost care would be taken and the necessary arrangements for their reception will be facilitated. Under high priority, their applications for visas and residence permits would be sanctioned. This was told by the French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian.
