COVID – 19 Updates:

The South Australian Government has announced a new $13.8 million International Student Support Package, thus demonstrating its commitment to the international student community.

For the students currently residing in South Australia and facing financial hardship, this package is designed to support international students.

There are three components to the package:

1)  To alleviate student hardship as a result of COVID-19, the South Australian Government, in partnership with the state’s three public universities, will match funding. To distribute to the pathway and international students, the funding will be distributed between Flinders University, The University of Adelaide and the University of South Australia.

2)  To the other international students not studying at one of the public universities, a $500 emergency cash grant will be available provided they meet the 2 criteria - currently enrolled in a course and living in Adelaide.

3)  AN assistance payment of one-off $200 per student is provided to the school students living with South Australian families or home stay families to help support accommodation during COVID-19.
